The CNIA (Abu Dhabi) Jetski team performed a first-of-its-kind world’s largest and most spectacular death-defying Jetski show on UAE 40th National Day celebration!
RedFilo was proud to be tasked to form the world’s first freestyle Jetski team in Abu Dhabi and was in-charge of choreographing and training members from the Critical National Infrastructure Authority (CNIA) as part of the UAE 40th National Day show.
RedFilo, an event management company specialized in creating impressive large-scale shows and ceremonies conducted the inaugural Jetski course for CNIA. The show was the brainchild of RedFilo, which saw dangerous freestyle demonstrations and even a dramatic stunt scene of one of the riders on fire.
World champions from Italy, France and USA were also engaged by RedFilo to train and perform with CNIA. The training started from early October 2011 selecting amateur members from different departments in CNIA with no prior experience in Jetski riding; some were even non-swimmers. The riders underwent an intensive training in preparation for the show consisting of basic riding skills, slalom riding and some basic stunts like wave jumping, wheelies, submarines and fountain.
The show started off with a dramatic entrance of pyrotechnics with all the riders. A synchronized display by the CNIA riders together with the World champions mesmerized the audience with their amazing stunts.
The highlight was when two of the World champions doused themselves with gasoline and lit up with fire ending with a patriotic exit of all the riders waving the UAE flag.
The CNIA was established in May 2007 under the Presidential decree issued by HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi. The Authority works to ensure that critical facilities are secure from potential threats, possible disruption and imminent destruction. It also works to secure Abu Dhabi’s infrastructure and promote economic stability.
